Thugs who target Merseyside bookies and leave staff traumatised have been sent a clear message by police ahead of the racing season – you WILL get caught.

With the countdown on to next week’s Cheltenham Festival and Liverpool gearing up for the Grand National, police and bookmakers are continuing a campaign to cut rates of theft from betting shops.
